Valley, Meet Jamen!

At 2 1/2 weeks old, Jamen had not yet met his much older and more mature cousin, Ella (she's 7 weeks older than Jamen).  Nor had he met Ella's family or his Weibell cousins.  So we headed over to the valley to do a little introducing.  Ella and Jamen hit it off right away!

Notice how humungous Jamen is next to Ella?  At his birth, these 2 weighed the same (but Ella was 7 weeks old!).  Here they were pretty much the same exact height, but Jamen was heavier.

It was so fun watching these 2 lay next to each other.  They held hands, linked arms, punched each other in the face, but neither seemed to have a care in the world.  I have a feeling these 2 are gonna grow up to be good little buddies!

Jonah loves to hold Jamen any opportunity he can get.  He really is my special helper (well when it comes to Jamen anyway!).  Landon was so good with Jamen - Landino, why can't you live closer??

David's sister and her boys ventured over to California from Utah for a couple weeks.  We were lucky enough to see them their first weekend here.  The kids spent lots of time by the pool in the following days.

Unfortunately there was a scary situation that occured - Jonah doesn't know how to swim quite yet, but thinks that as long as his heads above water, he's okay walking around the pool.  Well despite my many pleas to stay on the edge or on the steps, he ventured just far enough off the edge and into barely too deep water.  I was nursing Jamen at the time and looked over right as Jonah was bobbing up and down trying not to drown, but bouncing right into deeper water.  So I jumped up with baby attached to help him, but luckily David's sister Sara came to the rescue.  She didn't even hesitate, she just ran and jumped right in the water, fully clothed and all.  Sara you're the best!!! Thanks for rescuing my baby!  Jonah decided to sit the rest of the day out of the pool...well for about 10 minutes anyway.  The one good thing that came out of it all (besides reassuring us that Sara's awesome!) is that it made Jonah super excited for swim lessons!

Weibells, we can't wait until you come back to visit us again...we miss having you in California!!!

There is nothing like checking out someones blog and seeing your family on there! Those two are going to be buddies for sure. She might be older but he will always be her big cousin that will protect her!!! Reading all your posts just makes me smile...I love your family!

p.s. I have to go anonymous on your blog. There are a few blogs that wont let me post a comment, and yours is one of them.

I'm glad Jonah made it through the swimming adventure :) do you remember when Uncle Mike jumped in to save DeDe in Tom's pool?
