Santa Barbara

Last weekend our adventures took us to Santa Barbara. On our way, we stopped at Refugio Beach, then headed down to Santa Barbara.

The boys loved Refugio - it was great for them. There weren't very many people there and there was an inlet of fresh water running into the ocean, where the kids spent most of their time.

Jonah search for treasure with his metal detector and drug big branches down the little river.

Jaxon did a little digging, but mostly just threw rocks into the water.

Santa Barbara beach wasn't quite as fun for the boys, but the weather was beautiful and really, with 2 little boys, how can you go wrong with sand, shells, rocks, and water?

After the beach, we headed down Main St. for some dinner. Crazy thing happened while we were there. Seated right next to us, like literally 2 feet away (or less) was a blast from David's musical past. A guy we knew from Utah (like 7 years ago) who played in another band, was right next to us with his wife. David kept saying, I know that guy from somewhere, then finally asked where he went to school. He totally knew it was David. Funny how small this world seems some days.

We love Santa Barbara and can't wait to come down again...maybe for a little camping this summer?
