Before it all started Jonah and I took a ride on an elephant...an elephant! David and Jaxon watched on the side, but absolutely loved watching "Mommy & Woe on Dumbo."
This was a small circus, but it was fun to watch. Jonah and I definitely enjoyed it the most.
The food was surprisingly good. They had the best nasty nachos I've ever had (although thats not saying much!) and Jonah enjoyed his sno-cone a little too much (he left covered in it!).
This was the best act...these 2 sisters from China who were absolutely AWESOME on the ropes up in the air. The craziest was when one hung by a rope by one foot, while the other hung from a rope around her neck/head from the others neck/head and spun around super fast. It was sketchy, but awesome! Jonah leaned over to me and said "Wo Mom, that looks really dangerous!"
This guy was super creepy. He's double jointed in all his joints, so he's basically a human pretzel. In my opionion....gross! In David's opinion...double gross times 20 or more (I think it definitely hit him, 'cause the kid would pop his shoulders out of socket to put to rotate them and poor David has dislocated his shoulder well over 100 times and it is excruciating)!
These were cool. They had trapeze artists, people swinging and hanging from ropes and fabric, people doing tricks on this mouse wheel thing, and these cool girls doing crazy stuff with hoola-hoops.
And of course what would a circus be without elephants? Its pretty amazing what these animals can do! They are definitely gentle giants. "Dumbo" was without a doubt Jaxon's favorite.
Jonah said that his favorite was "Alex the Clown" (you can see him in the first elephant picture standing on the first elephant) who did all the in between acts while they changed sets and stuff.
Now we can all say that we've been to the circus, but it most definitely did NOT inspire any of us to join it...the circus life is NOT for us! Thanks Carson & Barnes for coming to town!
