Butterflies and Pizza...

We had a fun-filled day yesterday.  I've been promising Jonah that we could go to the Monarch Groves in Pismo to see all the Monarch butterflies, but like every year I forget until they're almost all gone.  There were still a bunch left and both Jonah and Jaxon just LOVED it there!
Jonah just soaked in all the "butterfly knowledge."  His favorite was looking through the telescopes at the butterfly bunches up close.  They sure are beautiful, aren't they?
After the butterflies we went home for a little RNR, but for dinner and family night we took a little trip to Chuck E. Cheese.  Jonah has been earning beans-we got the idea from Heidi (David's sister)-every time Jonah's good he gets a scoop of beans in his jar, but when he's bad he gets a scoop out.  He can either buy things (like a trip to the dollar store, treats, or something else special) with his beans, or he can fill the entire jar to the top and go somewhere or get something REALLY special.  So he chose to go to Chuck E. Cheese.  So that's where we went.  The pizza wasn't that great, but Jonah sure had a GREAT time playing!

Jaxon had a fun time too - they both had fun riding the helicopter.
When he was done, Jonah got to buy a few little trinkets with the tickets he won.  It was lots of fun!

Wow, Jonah looks grown up! Almost a kindergartener:) The butterflies look like a lot of fun - same with ChuckECheese. We go when we go to Billings sometimes - you have to choke down the pizza, but the kids always like it:) Great idea with the beans - I used to do that with my students at school, but didn't even think to do it with my own kids...think it'd work with potty training?:)
